Hi there

I have just installed the Ionic Isapi Rewrite Filter - following the steps in the notes.

I want it to be applied to all the websites on the server. So I installed it to apply to each website.

I then went to browse to a website and I received a 404 error - not found.

I have probably done something wrong or not considered something.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

First of all you need to make sure all your webs are working prior to Ionics...

That being verified the following needs to be established....

If all of your sites will use the same rewrite rules, then you just need to point each site at the same dll. If they will have different rules, you need a separate instance of Ionics for each site, with their own INI file. Make sure in either case that Ionics does not reside within the root of any web as that will cause problems.

"will cause problems" ==> Yes, mcwilliams132 is correct. There is a file watcher thread in IIRF, which will get lots of notifications, every time a file changes in the web doc root, if you store the ini file in the doc root directory. Check the readme for more info on this!
