Subdomain URL rewriting

Hi:
Using IIRF, how to achieve the following possibility

http://username.xyzdomain.com

and

http://www.xyzdomain.com/username

Pls help.

I don't understand the question, I'm sorry.

could you please read the README and maybe see if your question is answered there.
if not, then maybe you could describe what you want IIRF to do. Give us a sample of the input URL , and the expected or desired output (rewritten) URLs.

Then we can tell you if IIRF can do what you want.

Hi:
Let say I have a domain named www.mydomain.com

Now when a user register in my site, I want to offer them their own space using subdomain. Let say cheeso is signed up a new user, then he will either get http://cheeso.mydomain.com or http://www.mydomain.com/cheeso

Please let me know how I can go about this.

ok, I get that you want to have subdomains. I am not sure how you want to use IIRF though.

I guess what I am looking for is something more technical. Something like
{{I want the user to type in a URL that looks like this: xxx.yyy.zzz/foo/bar but I want my backend script to see it as xxx.yyy.zzz/foo.bar.php }

Below is the case:

and

http://www.xyzdomain.com/username
