IIRF on x64 systems?

I am trying to set up IIRF on my WIndows 2003 Server, whcih runs on a x64 AMD processor.
After installing the ISAPI extension, every browser request leads to a "service unavailable" page
The event log has got several entries telling me that the IIRF is not compiled for x64 systems.

So I tried to re-compile the sources in Visual Studio 2005 but I was failing for several reasons, mainly because of my lack of knowledge in C++. I would also need the dependent lib PCRE also in 64bit version.

Does anyone have had any luck with a x64 system? What are your experiences?

Maybe there is an already compiled 64bit-dll of IIRF to download somewhere?

Thank you for any hint

This may be of assistance in building the 64bit version:

Hmmm! I don't have an x64 version of IIRF. Who wants to build one?

Hello and thanks for your awnsers.

As I have seen that for many other tools/Isapi filters (e.g. PHP) there is also no real support for x64 systems, I decided to set up my IIS to handle 32-bit ISAPI extensions. I got IIRF running now! :-)

Thank you for your help!

Just curious...was a 64-bit version ever written?

if i had more time would try to build a 64 bit version. but like everyone else my plate is full.

So here is a temporary solution for all of you who need this functionality.
I have apache running on other machines so with dns i pointed the specific domain to another box running apache which handles all the rewrite rules and then proxies the new url to the iis box.
