I can't seem to figure out how to get my rewrite to work..

What I need is for the url to be the following:
    1. /weblog/
    2. /weblog/thoughts/
    3. /weblog/thoughts/01/
##
    1. /weblog/tags/
    2. /weblog/tags/bad companies/
##
    1. /rss/thoughts/
    2. /rss/thoughts/01
    3. /rss/tags/bad companies/
##
    1. /admin/add entry/
    2. /admin/modify entry/01
    3. /admin/delete entry/01
    4. /admin/settings/menu

and have it forward to...
/default.asp?id=weblog|rss&item=tag|menuitem&entryid=if item=tag,tags,entryid

id=$1
item=$2
entryid=$3

i have a question though.. there are times whenre there wont be all three variables given.. sometimes none.. how will it know? right now my script doesnt work unless i use all three vars..

also... will i still be able to hit default.asp?var1=value transparently?

thx in advance.

I don't quite get what you are after, but the testdriver.exe tool can come in handy when designing rules. . . .

kefs0, I don't quite understand your question either, but if repeat your 12 examples, this time also showing what you want each of them to be rewritten to, I'll try to help if I can.
