Hi All,

I got to work permalinks in Wordpress using IIRF, but when I go to a link like page_id=3 it is not showing the permalink in the url...

Is there anyway of converting page_id=x links into permalinks on the fly?

www.site.com/index.php?page_id=3 = www.site.com/about

both links works but when entering www.site.com/index.php?page_id=3 the url is not changing to www.site.com/about

I know it should change the full url to the permalink address, at least it is doing it under "LAMP", but not working in IIS 6.

Any help or ideas are welcome!

yes, there are ways to do what you describe.  Check the documentation on RewriteRule for examples.

Hi Cheeso,

I'm going crazy and I'm pretty new to IIRF, can you give me a hand with this?

Right now my iirf.ini file looks like this.

# IIRF ini file
# RewriteRule ^/(?!index.php)(?!wp)([^\.]*)$
# ============================================
RewriteRule ^/(?!index.php)(?!wp)([^\.]*)$ /index.php/$1 [I]

This get my permalinks to work, but it is not translating this kind of url (www.site.com/index.php?page_id=3) to www.site.com/about

I'm running latest version of IIRF on IIS 6.0 / Win 2k3 server.

Can you help me or guide me?

Wish I could, but I don't know wordpress, or precisely how it is using iirf. If you just want to substitute urls, that is described in great detail in the iirf documentation. If that approach does t work with wordpress, then i don't know what else to suggest. Maybe try a wordpress help forum. Good luck.
