Hi everyone, I'm currently learning how to get around this rewrite tool. I currently have a series of rules like below Rewriterule ^/content/(.*) index.cfm?go=content.html&page=$1 What I'm wanting to know is how would I have a catch all rule in case the user enters Www.mysite.com/blah-blah. In my system it just goes to a blank page... I would like to make it go to a 404 error screen...

To answer the original question, there's a way to test for file existence in a RewriteCond -f.  Check the manual for details.

This works if the argument to page= is actually a filesystem file.

Regarding the second question, I don't think it's the same at all, and also I don't understand what you want. Please post a clear complete question to a new thread.
