Rewrite rules to point to an IP address keeping the original location

Hello everyone,

I am very new using the Isapi Rewrite filter. My objective is when a user enters the URL, it points to the address https://100.200.300.400/virtual_directoryB, with the requirement to keep the original URL of the locationA in the address bar (I don't want the user to see the ugly IP address). The locationA web address is located in a different server from the locationB. Both are IIS 6.0 over Windows Server 2003.

Since what I want to do is a rewrite, I placed the IsapiRewrite4.dll and the IsapiRewrite4.ini files in the c:/inetpub folder, and this is how my ini file looks like:
RewriteLogLevel 3
RewriteRule  https://100.200.300.400/virtual_directoryB

Any help with this matter will be more than appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Nope, what you want is a proxy. and IIRF does not do that.
ISA Server does that.
There are other commercial offerings that do web proxying.
IIRF is not a web proxy.
