Greetings,

I tried using IIRF on a website hosted with Plesk 8 on IIS. I have followed the exact steps. But as soon as I restart IIS, the website becomes unavailable. Anyone experienced this before?

I may add that it works beautifully on my local development server.

Thanks

Ash

Update : I added the IIS_WPG user to the IIRF folder. Now it works. But under the web site properties, ISAPI filters tab, the status is empty and the priority * unknown *. The log file also does not get created.

Ash,

have you tried troubleshooting according to this article? http://blogs.msdn.com/david.wang/archive/2005/06/21/HOWTO_Diagnose_and_Fix_Common_ISAPI_Filter_Installation_Failures.aspx

or also try this: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/93f23233-2a47-4104-b0b4-a7ec0d3116f3.mspx?mfr=true

Thanks Cheeso,

I think its all about the Persmissions. I managed to get the log file to be created now. IIS_WPG - write permissions.

But under the web site properties, ISAPI filters tab, the status is empty and the priority * unknown * is still a problem.

Will this cause instabililty ? Do I have to really care about it? Or Can I leave it as is?

I have the same problem, the filter work fine, but the web site properties the filter priority see * unknown * but you form in “Web sites” shows to the state and the green arrow correctly.

You solved this?
