I have activated the isapirewriter on the webserver and i am trying to implement a redirect using the following

RewriteRule */section$  $1/index.php/section22 [R]

when i try the url there is a delay as tho the rewriter is trying to do the redirect but i then get the link with a 'server cannot display the page' message

any help would be appreciated

What do the logs say?

sorry, no access to the logs, but in playing around with the code i got this to work

RewriteRule ^.*\/section$  $1/index.php/section22 [R]

now being a complete noob with regex, php and IIFR.... i have no idea what I've done, why it works or if its safe....
i think the oiginal problem might have been not escaping the / but like i said "complete noob" so its only a guess any links to tutorials/recommended reading on how to use IIFR  to create search engine safe URI's?

thanks for the fast response and followup.

I can suggest the readme file?

This forum is sometimes helpful.

The rule you mentioned in your first post is broken, yes.
There was a fix I put in yesterday to behave more elegantly in the face of such broken rules.

So... you've fixed your rule, which is good. But I have also recently updated the filter so that it doesn't choke on such rules. In the future this shouldn't be a problem.
if you are running IIRF v1.2.14b or later.
