I'm having a little trouble getting IIRF to load into IIS -
I don't get a green arrow or a red arrow - the status column in the data pane just shows
Filter Name: IIRF
Priority * Unknown *
The details below shows that the filter is coming up as Status: Unknown
There are no errors in the event log - there is no log created by IIRF itself.
I've followed through the install instructions and look about on MSDN but not been able to find what I'm doing wrong...
I'm using IIS6 on 2003 server
I've copied the IsapiRewrite4.dll and IsapiRewrite4.ini files into a folder under my wwwroot and set Full Control permissions on them for the IIS_WPG, IUSR and IWAM accounts
I've ensured that the log directory exists and is writable
I've added the .dll to the web server extensions and set it to "allow"
I've added the IIRF to the ISAPI filters in IIS and restarted the services
I'm using one of the example ini files -
I've tried running the TestDriver.exe - this seems to work fine.
I've also run the TestParse.exe which also seems to be quite happy.
IirfVersion.exe tells me I have "Ionic ISAPI Rewriting Filter (IIRF) v1.2.14 final R3"
None of the test tool produce a log file (should they?)
Any clues to point out the obvious missing step would be helpful!

If I were you I would try to simplify.
Try the simplest possible thing.
Get an ini file with just a RewriteLog statement in it. no rules.
If you trust me I could try to Remote Desktop into your server to check it out.
I don't understand why the problem would be occurring. It sounds like you have done the right thing.
what version of IIS?
if you are using IIS6 or later, you can try these troubleshooting hints;
Seems that it was IIS being a little quirky - a reboot of the box managed to sort it out and it's all working as expected now :)
Cheers for the help :)
