Hey all, I just found this today after being reccomened by some people from codeigniter.

Had some initial problems getting it setup but not got it set up and its creating error logs but it freezes my site up not allowing it to load. I am sure it has to do with me messing something up but have uninstalled and installed probably 5 or 6 times to make sure im following the instructions exactly.

Here is what the log shows

The first two lines it list about 50 times so I did not include them as they are the same exact line.

Also if needed im not doing anything special in the IsapiRewrite4.ini file

RewriteLog  c:\temp\iirfLog.out
RewriteLogLevel 5

Thats all so it shouldnt be doing anything.

2 things

  1. I recommend you use the v2.0 filter. It is still "beta" but is easier to use and more powerful.
  2. regarding the problems with freezing, the problem is shown clearly in your log file:
ERROR: Too many change notifications. Move the log file to a different directory.  See the Readme for more info.
That message is out of date - the doc moved from a readme to a .chm file a while ago.  But the point still remains.   You might want to review
     http://cheeso.members.winisp.net/IirfHelp/html/20da503b-d058-474c-9c67-cafbf519dccc.htm
Also - where is the filter DLL installed?  You may want to install it in its own directory.
The v2.0 filter does not experience these problems .
